Frequently Asked Questions

  •     Do I need a Triumph?  - No, any make is fine as long as it fits in with the style and feel of the event, the DGR organisation encourage you to ride on:  Café Racers, Bobbers, Classics, Trackers, Scramblers, Old School Choppers, Modern Classics, Sidecars, Classic Scooters, Classic Cruisers, Modern Classics, *Electric and Brat Styled   *electric that fit into the other categories/style!
  •     Will you be going through Bradford or any other large city centres?  - No, Bradford is undergoing extensive roadworks at the moment and Leeds already has it's own well established and succesful annual DGR event.
  •     How do I view the route?  - You register for the event through the official DGR page and the route is released shortly before the day of the event. This is to prevent people just tagging along who are not registered.
  •     Do I need to register to ride? - Yes, signing up through the official DGR website is mandatory to take part in our ride.
  •     Do I need to fundraise? - No it isn't mandatory but it is strongly encouraged as it is the main purpose of the event.  If you prefer not to fundraise you can put in your own donation to add to the pot.
  •     Is this instead of the Leeds DGR?  No, absolutely not.  Leeds is running it's own DGR and as with all the other rides around the world they operate individually to raise funds for the same causes.  Members or our team have represented the shop in the Leeds ride for years and have always thoroughly enjoyed the event.  If you are taking part in the Leeds ride have a fantastic day and take lots of photos!
  •     What charities does it raise money for? - Funds raised by The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride are invested into prostate cancer and men’s mental health initiatives around the world through their official charity partner, Movember.
  •     Do I need to dress up? - Ideally yes.  For inspiration see the DGR website for photos from previous ride around the world.  The style can be broadly summed up as "Dapper", feel free to put your own spin on the theme and have fun with it.
